Former soldiers air IDF grievances in 'Guardian'

Two female former IDF soldiers denounced Israel's treatment of Palestinians in an interview with the Guardian on Sunday, after former soldier Eden Abergil published on Facebook photos in which she posed next to blindfolded detainees.
"I left the army with a ticking bomb in my belly," Inbar Michelzon said. "I felt I saw the backyard of Israel. I saw something that people don't speak about. It's almost like I know a dirty secret of a nation and I need to speak out."
Another former IDF soldier, Dana Golan, said the IDF does things "that just create victims. To be a good occupier, we have to create conflict."
Both soldiers are involved in Israeli organization Breaking the Silence, which collects testimonies of soldiers who served in the West Bank that discuss cases of abuse towards Palestinians.
