Heavily armed suspect arrested in Los Angeles targeting Gay Pride Parade

A heavily armed suspect was arrested in Los Angeles on Sunday after he was discovered with assault weapons, explosives, and a camouflage outfit, KABC reported on Sunday.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garceti said that the Santa Monica police department made the arrested after the suspect was turned in by someone from his neighborhood.
Reports indicate that the suspect was headed towards the Los Angeles Pride Festival.
Authorities say that the planned attack was not related to the Orlando attack.
The Los Angeles Pride Parade will continue on as planned. A moment of silence will be held in honor of the victims from the Orlando shooting, which left 50 dead and at least 53 injured.
