IDF officers in the West Bank to be protected by bodyguards

The IDF has decided to employ bodyguards to protect to brigade commanders serving in the West Bank, Army Radio reported Monday. The decision follows protests in front of the homes of senior officials in the Judea and Samaria Coordination and Liaison Administration, and also a complaint by one of the officials in the administration who recently received a letter warning, "We know where you live. We will hurt you and your family." Former OC Central Command Yair Naveh told Army Radio in an interview that Israel was forsaking its senior officers: "[This is] a troubling phenomenon where public servants need protection to be provided by those who send them."
