Improved flying ambulances from periphery

The Health Ministry said Monday that it had reached an agreement with Magen David Adom to arrange for the flying by helicopter of sick and injured from the periphery hospitals in the center of the country.
The service will function in the south and the north and include specially trained paramedics and other staffers ready to fly at all times.
The expansion of existing service will significantly speed up reaction time for vital medical services to save lives, the ministry said, in accordance with the recommendations of a committee of experts that it appointed. This is another action to improve medical services to the periphery, the ministry said.
