'Interior Minister Yishai pressured judge not to convict yeshiva student'

Jerusalem District Court judge Moshe Drori came under pressure from Chief Sephardi Rabbi Shlomo Amar and even Interior Minister Eli Yishai not to convict a yeshiva student who ran over Ethiopian-Israeli parking lot cashier Noga Zoarish, Channel 2 reported Monday. According to the TV channel, the two wrote letters to Drori, with Yishai saying that a conviction would ruin the student's rabbinic future.
