Iran: Syria will allow UN to probe site of alleged chemical weapons strike

Iran on Saturday said Syria will allow UN inspectors entry to a site near Damascus where an alleged chemical weapons attack reportedly killed hundreds last Wednesday, AFP reported.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif during a phone call spoke with his Syrian counterpart Walid Muallem, who denied the Damascus government's use of chemical weapons,  according to official Iranian news agency IRNA.
The "Syrian government will cooperate with the United Nations mission now in Syria to create the conditions for a visit to zones where terrorist groups have carried out attacks with chemical weapons," Muallem was quoted as saying.
