Iran's parliament approves penalties on visiting Israel

Iran's parliament approved new legislation Monday to severely increase penalties on citizens who travel to Israel, AFP reported.
The punishment for offenders who visit the Holy Land include two to five years in prison and a three- to five-year suspension on holding an Iranian passport, AFP quoted the official IRNA news agency as saying.
The foreign ministry can provide exemptions to the law, AFP quoted the Fars news agency as reporting.
