Iraqi forces rescue civilians trapped under rubble in Mosul's Old City

Iraqi troops rescued civilians, including children, from under the rubble of houses destroyed in Mosul's Old City area on Saturday, as Iraqi military commanders said they would take full control of the city from the Islamic State (IS) militants at any moment.
Sources told Reuters more than 20 civilians, mostly children, were pulled from the rubble of three houses destroyed by fleeing IS militants in al-Najafi district.
IS militants vowed to "fight to the death" in Mosul on Saturday.
Meanwhile dozens of Iraqi soldiers celebrated amid the rubble on the banks of the Tigris river without waiting for a formal victory declaration, some dancing to music blaring out from a truck and firing machineguns into the air, a Reuters correspondent said.
