Irish concerns cause EU, Israel data transfer deal delay

A deal made between Israel and the EU to allow the transfer of personal data on EU citizens to Israel has been delayed as a result of Irish objections, the BBC reported on Sunday.
Ireland's objections come in the wake of the use of forged Irish passports in the  assassination of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai earlier this year.
Ireland was said to be the only EU member to have voiced objections against the "data adequacy" agreement, intended to facilitate commerce.
