Israeli bus stoned in Hebron after straying into Arab sector

A bus of Israeli tourists en route to the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron was stoned on Thursday afternoon after straying into the Arab side of the city. Several of the passengers suffered from shock. The bus was damaged in the attack.

According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Office, the bus had entered the Jally neighborhood, which is in the Arab-ruled Area A. The bus evacuated from the zone on its own.

Thousand of Israelis flocked to Hebron on Thursday to celebrate Israel’s placing of the Cave of the Patriarchs on its list of national heritage sites.
