Viktor Pashchenko, an Ukrainian who made aliya and is also known by the Jewish name Daniel Meir, was arrested in Munich on suspicion of murdering at least eight people while he was still in the Ukraine, Channel 2 reported Wednesday.
Pashcenko was arrested earlier this week, and his story was first published by a Russian news Website on Sunday night.
The Ukraine has a standing extradition request against the man.
After making aliya, Pashchenko applied for several government jobs, and tried to get accept as a parliamentary assistant to several Kadima MKs.
He never got a position, but according to Channel 2 he volunteered for Kadima politicians, driving activists to rallies and party member meetings.
