Kadima slams Netanyahu for opposing fire committee

Kadima on Sunday criticized Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for pandering to coalition partner Shas with his decisions to oppose the forming of a committee to investigate the government's functioning during the Carmel forest fire and to delay a Cabinet discussion on IDF conversions.
"Netanyahu is trying to evade responsibility and avoid reporting on his mistakes to the public and is using soldier's converted during IDF service in a fight for his personal survival," a statement released by the opposition party read.
"This is the cynical and pathetic action of a coward who understands that the state comptroller's report established that he failed the public and his position is compromised," the statement added.
