Man who killed teen in underworld feud gets life sentence

Nir Haziza, the man convicted of shooting dead a Ramle teen in an attempted underworld hit, was sent to prison for life on Sunday. According to Israeli law, life imprisonment is mandatory for premeditated murder.
Haziza shot and killed 17-year-old Yiftah Mor Yosef in August 2009, as the teenager sat outside a kiosk in the center of Ramle. According to the indictment, Haziza had driven to the central Israeli city intending to murder another man, Einav Cohen, to settle a score over a financial dispute.
Haziza was also ordered to pay Mor-Yosef's parents NIS 258,000 compensation.
