MoD to run bus lines for soldiers to new training bases in South

The Defense and Transport Ministries will run bus lines from all over the country to enable soldiers to arrive at the new Training Campus in the Negev desert, the Defense Ministry announced Monday.

The move comes in the wake of a major lack of transport options for soldiers who need to arrive at the various training bases in the South.

The Defense Ministry publicized a tender worth tens of millions of shekels per year for a company to facilitate the transport of soldiers on Sundays and weekends.

The Training Campus is a complex that will house eight training bases and residential quarters for thousands of soldiers at the Negev Junction, south of Beersheba.
