Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the Central Bureau of Statistics poll on the Israeli population on the brink of 5779.
"There are several fields in which Israelis can feel proud and happy," said Netanyahu at the beginning of a ministry meeting on Wednesday. "The economy is rising, unemployment is lower... inequality statistics are declining."
"But there is one index that gave me, and I'm sure many other ministers, the greatest pleasure," continued Netanyahu. "89% of Israeli citizens are satisfied or extremely satisfied with life in Israel. Israeli civilians feel that Israel is a great place to live."
