Netanyahu, Rivlin meet to resolve discord

Jerusalem became a bit more peaceful Saturday evening, as Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin (Likud) met to resolve their month-long discord regarding what Rivlin believed was the government's trampling of the Knesset's status.
The two Jerusalem residents met in Tel Aviv as part of a larger meeting surrounding the Economic Arrangements Bill and according to government officials, managed to resolve their differences.
In his opening speech of the Knesset session -and in a pre-session interview with the Jerusalem Post - Rivlin slammed Netanyahu for his support of the National Referendum Bill as well as for the Economic Arrangements Bill itself, which Rivlin said would eat away at the status of the Knesset by making it relevant once every two years.
