Pre-probe on judge gets Attorney-General’s okay

Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein has given police the go-ahead to conduct a pre-investigation on the financial relations between Bat Yam Mayor Shlomi Lahiani and Supreme Court Justice Yoram Danziger, who was a lawyer in private practice before being appointed to the bench, the Justice Ministry said on Tuesday.

According to reports, Danziger had various business relations with Lahiani while working for the municipality at the same time. According to these reports, Danziger and his law partner at the time, Dori Klagsblad, earned NIS 823,000 between 2005 and 2007.
