Report: Jordanian PM to resign from his post

Conflicting reports in Jordan about the resignation of Prime Minister Awn Al-Khasawneh continued to circulate on Thursday, with Jordanian newspaper Al-Ghad's website confirming that Khasawneh will quit his post.
"An informed source confirmed to Al-Ghad the receipt of Prime Minister Awn-Khasawneh's resignation, which was tendered Thursday from Turkey where [the prime minister] was on an official visit," Al-Ghad reported.
The Jerusalem Post could not independently verify the report.
The confirmation of the Jordanian prime minister's plans to quit his post conflicted with remarks made by the Jordanian Prime Minister's Office, published in Jordan's official news agency Petra, denying the news of Khasawneh's pending departure.
