Residents announce resignations, call on PM to intervene

As hundreds of medical residents didn't arrive for work in public hospitals across the country on Monday, representatives called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to further involve himself in solving the health and labor crisis.Speaking at a press conference Monday morning, Dr. Oren Feldman asserted that only the prime minister's involvement could solve the crisis. "I turn to you, Mr. Netanyahu. Please intervene."Other medical residents announced at the press conference that they and many of their friends had made their decision to resign effective immediately, and called on the labor courts not to issue an injunction against them.
