Social-movement leader criticizes Trajtenberg report

Social-movement protest leader Stav Shafir criticized on Tuesday the Trajtenberg Committee for Socioeconomic Change's report at a Knesset Finance Committee meeting on the subject, saying that "Trajtenberg looks like an attempt to pass the same policies the government always had, just with a different face."
Despite the criticism, Shafir said that the "whole nations is behind you and we all want the same things. This is your test."
"Soon it’s Yom Kippur, and I want to be the first to apologize," Shafir said.
"I’m sorry that we didn’t wake up earlier, and that for years we allowed a violent economic policy to put our society in a difficult situation: a situation of internal strife a situation of crashing."
