Soldier jumps out of moving car when attacked near Karmiel

Acre police arrested two Karmiel residents on Sunday evening on suspicion of attacking an IDF soldier and attempting to steal his rifle.The soldier, a resident of Beit Jan, told police he had boarded a passing car in his village after recognizing its driver and passenger, both in their 20s.Unable to fend off the attack, the soldier jumped out of the moving vehicle and contacted his family, which immediately called police.Police said the suspects were originally from Beit Jan and Yarca, in the Western Galilee.
