Strauss CEO: We will not be mired down by manipulation

Strauss Group CEO Gadi Lesin on Sunday commented on the recent protests against the rising cost of cottage, saying "We will not be mired down by manipulations and demagoguery in the dairy industry."

"We are happy to have all those involved - the government, farmers, and us manufacturers - sit down together and find out how to have prices be determined in a respected and appropriate way and not through reckless accusations."

The Knesset Finance Committee on Sunday was expected to convene a special session on the high price of cottage with representatives from three of the largest cheese producers, Strauss, Tara, and Tnuva.
