Traffic flowing smoothly in Jerusalem after riots cease at 5 a.m.

Friday morning traffic flowed smoothly in Jerusalem, but riots over the arrest of a haredi woman who allegedly abused her child continued until 5 a.m. on Road One by the haredi Beit Yisrael neighborhood. Stones, bottles, and overturned garbage bins still littered the area, Israel Radio reported. At 11 a.m., the woman suspected of nearly starving her son to death will arrive at the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for a remand extension hearing. Haredi leaders vowed to resume demonstrations in the capital if the court decides not to release the woman.
