Train derails in Naples; one dead, 30 injured

A train derailed from its tracks in Naples, Italy Friday, killing one passenger and wounding about 30 others, an Italian police spokeswoman said in an AFP report.
According to the report, the train, containing four carriages, derailed 400 meters from the central station in Naples as it made its way from a the city of Sorrento.
Two of the wounded were in critical condition and one needed to have a leg amputated on scene, a Red Cross worker told AFP.
The train company, Circumvesviana, serves Naples and the Campania region surrounding the city and employs 1,800 workers.
