US Senators urge Obama to impose tougher sanctions, reinforce military threat on Iran

Seventy six US Senators urged US President Barack Obama on Monday to impose tougher sanctions on Iran, as the Islamic Republic continues on its path of nuclear enrichment.
Senators from both parties signed a letter to the president, asking him to reinforce the credibility of the United States' military option.
"Until we see a significant slowdown of Iran’s nuclear activities, we believe our nation must toughen sanctions and reinforce the credibility of our option to use military force at the same time as we fully explore a diplomatic solution to our dispute with Iran," they wrote.
