Yair Naveh to be next IDF deputy chief of staff

Maj. Gen. (ret) Yair Naveh will be the next IDF deputy chief of staff, serving underneath newly appointed chief Yoav Galant when he takes over the role in February next year, Channel 2 reported on Monday.
Naveh retired three years ago. The decision comes after generals Gadi Eizenkot and Avi Mizrahi both recently turned down the position.
