Interior Minister Eli Yishai on Sunday accused the Finance Ministry of trying to arouse fear in the public and the government over budgetary issues.
In an interview with Israel Radio, Yishai said that Israel can afford increasing the deficit and decreasing tax revenues, measures he said are called for in a time of social distress.

Addressing the controversial order to deport 700 South Sudanese living in Israel, Yishai told Israel Radio that they are infiltrators, not refugees, and should be deported either back to their home state or a third country.
