New head of Government Companies Authority to take up post Thursday

Dr. Udi Nissan will become the head of the Government Companies Authority on Thursday. The government approved his appointment on Sunday after evaluating dozens of candidates. Nissan, 40, holds a doctorate from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in economic regulations and a post-doc from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. Nissan spent seven years from 1992-1999 in various positions in the budget branch of the finance ministry. From 1999-2002 he was the head of the Jerusalem Development Authority. He completed his doctorate and post-doc between 2003 and 2007.
