The National Security Council issued a warning to Israeli citizens abroad to take increased precaution "at all destinations around the world" due to the risk of Iranian retaliatory attacks following the Israeli-US strikes against the Islamic Regime on Saturday.
"Given past experience, it is possible that other terrorist elements and local initiatives (including individual attackers) will be motivated to harm Israelis abroad," the NSC wrote.
It also called on the public to heed travel warnings and to check a country's travel warning in advance of departure.
The NSC also issued five general advisories to all Israelis and Jews in the Diaspora to avoid being the target of retaliatory terror acts.
First: To avoid posting personal travel details n social media, including accommodation, plans, or other details that could provide up-to-date information about future plans or locations.
Second: To avoid attending Israeli or Jewish-associated events or unprotected sites.
Third: To pay attention to what is happening in your immediate vicinity, particularly when in areas associated with Israel or Judaism, naming examples such as Chabad houses, synagogues, and Israeli or kosher restaurants, and to be vigilant for unusual activity, such as suspicious objects or individuals.
Fourth: In the event of a threat or an attack, contact local security services, report the incident as soon as possible, and advise travelers to write down emergency contact numbers in advance for the country they are in.
And fifth: To avoid entering areas that are hostile to Israelis and Jews, such as neighborhoods or districts in countries or regions where public opinion is hostile towards Israel.
