An Ontario Chabad was targeted by vandals for the second time in two weeks on Monday, according to the Chabad of Guelph and Guelph Police Service.

"Zionist dogs...stop killing children...the goyim know," was written in marker on the window of the temporary Chabad Pop-Up center.

The site, which hosts Shabbat morning services and a few weekday classes while a permanent Chabad center is being built, had previously been vandalized on May 30 in a similar manner.

"Death to genocidal Israhell," read the graffiti scrawled on the window two weeks ago.

Guelph Police said on Wednesday that they were investigating the incidents, which were not yet confirmed to be related.

Antisemitism on the rise in Canada

Rabbi Raphi Steiner told The Jerusalem Post that he was shocked when he saw the first graffiti, and troubled that his son had been exposed to it.

"It was heartbreaking to watch my 12-year-old son sit in shul constantly glancing up at the very visible graffiti, wondering why someone would do that to his shul," said Steiner.

Antisemitism had been rising in the region over the last few months, the rabbi warned, with Jews the most targeted Canadian demographic for hate crimes since the October 7 Massacre, despite representing about 1% of the population.
