An Israeli attack on Iran would be suicide, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said Sunday in an interview with Iranian official news agency IRNA.“The Zionist regime is completely isolated and under no circumstances can it attack Iran unless it wants to commit suicide" said Vahidi, explaining that Iran would respond with deadly strikes on Israel.RELATED:Iran navy starts 10-day wargame in Strait of Hormuz'Iran could assemble nuclear bomb in under a year'
Iran is in a "unique position in all areas" regarding the development of its defense capabilities, Tehran's defense minister said, adding that "Iran has made great progress in electronic warfare technology, aviation industries and missile technology."Referring to Iran's capture of a US drone, he accused the US of breaching international law by violating Iran's airspace. "It also undermined the rights of Iran and Afghanistan which unfortunately faced silence of international bodies, especially the United Nations," Vahidi added.Last month the semi-official Iranian FARS news agency reported similar comments from the Iranian defense minister. According to the report Vahidi said that Iran had up to 150,000 missiles pointed at Israel.
