Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, at around 7:00 a.m., said, "All of the world tonight saw what Iran is. The preventing of the attack was impressive and led to very minimal impacts. We are on guard and ready for every scenario."

"Together with US and other allies' partnership we succeeded in keeping a small impact in the territory of the State of Israel, an impressive accomplishment in which the IDF excelled."

Gallant noted that the attack came from 1,500 kilometers away, including attempts to use all of Iran's proxies against Israel.

He said that the battle was not over but that the most significant wave of Iranian attacks had been stopped.

An Iranian cyber group named Handala claims to have breached Israel's radar systems and sent hundreds of thousands of threatening text messages to Israeli citizens. 

The group alleged it infiltrated the radar systems and dispatched 500,000 text messages to Israeli citizens. "You have only a few hours to fix the systems," the message warned.

In the wake of escalating tensions over a potential Iranian attack, Handala publicized a statement on social networks, asserting they had penetrated Israel's radar defenses. The announcement, shared via Telegram, was scant on details but emphasized its significant success, potentially undermining Israel's national security. "You have only a few hours to repair the radar systems," the attackers reiterated in their message.

Iran warned the United States not to respond to its attack on Israel, as the confrontation between the two-arch foes spilled over into the region and US President Joe Biden held consultations in Washington.

This “is a conflict between Iran and the rogue Israeli regime, from which the US MUST STAY AWAY!” Iran’s mission to the UN in New York stated in a post on X early Sunday morning.

It justified its launch of a drone and missile attack on Israel as an act of self-defense permissible under Article 51 of the UN Charter.

President Joe Biden told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the United States would neither participate in nor support offensive actions against Iran, an Israeli official told Axios on Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, Biden is set to convene the other G7 leaders on Sunday to coordinate a "united diplomatic response to Iran's brazen attack," according to a statement from the White House on Saturday night. 

"Earlier today, Iran—and its proxies operating out of Yemen, Syria and Iraq—launched an unprecedented air attack against military facilities in Israel. I condemn these attacks in the strongest possible terms," Biden said.  

Sirens blared across Israel on Saturday night as hundreds of drones and missiles launched from Iran reached Israel. Drones and missiles were also reportedly launched from Yemen and other countries around the region.

A seven-year-old girl from a Bedouin village near Arad was seriously wounded by the Iranian attack, according to Magen David Adom. Dr. Dan Schwartzfox, the deputy director of Soroka Medical Center, told Army Radio on Sunday morning that the girl was in intensive care and that her life was still at risk. Minor damage was caused to infrastructure at an IDF base in southern Israel during the attack as well, according to IDF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari.

The IDF has updated that the full Iranian attack consisted of over 300 threats, of which 100 were ballistic missiles launched from Iran and another 30 cruise missiles launched from Iran, as well as drones. There were also two rounds of rockets, around 40 total, fired on Israel from Lebanon, with Israel responding with counterattacks in close to real-time.

Almost all interceptions have been by aircraft, David's Sling, or the Arrow missile systems. The Iron Dome, which defends well against Hamas and Hezbollah's simple rockets, is less relevant for drones and fancier long-range missiles.
