Tech students design equipment for IDF, emergency services

All of the items are developed in accordance with official operational requirements from the IDF.

Students at Holon Institute of Technology (HIT) have designed, developed and produced hundreds of items of combat equipment for the IDF's elite units, police officers and firefighters, according to a recent press release by the school.

The students at HIT's Industrial Design Department worked together with professional tailors and volunteers, as well as security forces, to design and produce the items. The team was lead by Ofer Zick.

What items are the students producing?

The items produced by the students include gun holsters, hip pouches, pouches for grenades and cartridges, and a variety of other classified items of combat equipment.

All of the items are developed in accordance with official operational requirements from the IDF.

The HIT team is working to raise funds in order to continue providing equipment to the military and emergency services.
