IDF takes command of Hamas military stronghold in western Jabalia in Gaza

The IDF also killed 50 terrorists in the area.

IDF forces under the command of the Givati ​​Brigade took control over a Hamas military stronghold in western Jabaliya in the northern Gaza Strip on Tuesday, a military spokesperson said.

Approximately 50 terrorists were killed by Israeli forces. Furthermore, Israeli fighter jets, under Shin Bet intelligence, eliminated Ebrahim Biari, the commander of Hamas's Jabalia battalion, and was one of the leaders of the October 7 massacre.

UN chief warns humanitarian law not 'an a la carte menu' in Israel-Hamas war

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday appealed for the protection of civilians caught in the conflict between Israel and Palestinian militants Hamas and stressed the need for proportionality and precaution by all parties.

"Protection of civilians on both sides is paramount and must be respected at all times," Guterres said in a statement. "International humanitarian law establishes clear rules that cannot be ignored. It is not an a la carte menu and cannot be applied selectively."

Israel should hunt down any Iranian whose “filthy hands” were on the Simchat Torah massacre, former Mossad head Yossi Cohen said on Tuesday.

“I think we have to find any and every single Iranian from the Ministry of Intelligence, from the army, from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps whose filthy hands were on the [October 7] operation directly and indirectly, and pursue them,” he told The Jerusalem Post in an interview.

Construction and Housing Minister Yitzhak Goldknopf submitted a short-term housing plan on Tuesday to the Revival Administration that was set up to oversee the rehabilitation of the towns near Gaza that were hit in Hamas's October 7 attack.

Goldknopf's plan was designed to allow the residents of the South a sense of community while a long-term plan was put in place to eventually allow them to return home.

Russian technological assistance to Iran can be used against Israel, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, as he stressed the link between Ukrainian and Gaza wars particularly as it relates to American interests.

IDF releases names of two Givati soldiers killed in action in Gaza

More than 300 soldiers have been killed in the battles since October 7.

Two IDF soldiers, Roei Wolf and Lavi Lipshitz, both 20 years of age, were killed in battle in the northern Gaza Strip, the IDF spokesperson said on Tuesday.

The families of the soldiers have been notified.

The deaths were announced days after Israel began its ground invasion operation into Gaza. Maariv reported that the soldiers were killed by an RPG.

Almog is the two-and-a-half-year-old son of the late Einav Elkayam-Levy and her partner, Or Levy. On October 7, Almog's 32 year-old mother was murdered by Hamas terrorists at the ill-fated 'Nova' music festival. His father was subsequently kidnapped to Gaza, and his condition is still unknown. 

While both families grapple with the immense loss of Einav and the uncertainty surrounding Or, the friends and colleagues of the lost couple have united to create a crowdfunding campaign aimed at ensuring their son's well-being and providing for his future.

Gaza aid distribution struggles amid overcrowding, debris, lack of fuel

(UNRWA) said on Monday that over the past day it had delivered hundreds of tons of flour.

Distribution of food and medical supplies is faltering in Gaza due to a chronic lack of fuel, looting of stores, the choking of streets with rubble from Israeli shelling and overcrowding caused by displacement of civilians.

And despite an uptick in the trickle of supplies, the number of aid trucks entering Gaza -- currently averaging 14 daily -- remains tiny compared to the 400 trucks seen daily in normal times for a population of 2.3 million now desperate for essentials like bread, aid officials say.
