More and more prominent figures worldwide are showing their solidarity with Israel in the wake of Hamas' attacks and the conflict in Gaza.
Following Elon Musk's earlier expression of support during Operation Swords of Iron, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO and founder of Meta (Facebook), and Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, have also added their voices in support of Israel.
Zuckerberg shared his thoughts on his Instagram account, stating, "Hamas' terrorist attacks are pure evil. There is never any justification for carrying out such acts against innocent people. The extensive suffering caused is devastating. My primary concern is the safety of our employees and their families in Israel and the surrounding region."
In a message sent to Google employees, Sundar Pichai expressed his deep concern regarding the attacks on Israeli civilians and the resulting conflict, which was also published on the 9to5Google website.
He emphasized, "Our priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of every Google employee in the affected area. In addition to our local employees, we have identified several others who are currently in the region."
Google maintains two offices in Israel with over 2,000 employees.
'I am deeply saddened'
Notably, Apple CEO Tim Cook also voiced his sentiments last night, writing, "I am deeply saddened by the devastating attacks in Israel and the tragic reports emerging from the region. My heart goes out to the victims, the families who have lost their loved ones, and all those who suffer as a result of this violence."
Andy Jesse, the CEO of Amazon, also expressed his concerns, saying, "The attacks on Israeli citizens were both terrible and difficult to witness. We have been in close contact with our staff to ensure we are providing all possible assistance during these trying times. Our humanitarian teams on the ground are working tirelessly. We fervently hope for a swift return to peace."
