Hundreds of settlers and activists gathered to celebrate Jerusalem Day and Israel's acquisition of the West Bank during the Six Day war in June 1967 on Monday evening at Joseph's Tomb in the Palestinian city of Nablus in the Samaria region of the West Bank .

Since Jews are only allowed access to the tomb once a month, when they can enter the city at mid-night under an IDF escort, Mitzpe Yosef, is the closet they can come to the tomb. At Tuesday's rally, settlers called on the government to restore Israeli sovereignty to the tomb and to allow them daily, day time access.
