Sources in the Israeli tourism industry have explained that Airbnb was interested in getting back to business as usual in Israel after a debacle about delisting places in the West Bank.

The aid, which will pay hosts 25% of their normal cancellation fees, is being offered globally except for China.

"Visual trustworthiness is king in the Airbnb arena," said Aliza Fleischer, researcher at Hebrew University.
