IsraAID extends a helping hand to people across the globe, most recently to Ukrainian refugees in Moldova.

The refugees are part of a larger group that was rescued from Afghanistan in October in an effort led by IsraAID.

The reality is that the COVID-19 vaccine roll-out in Eswatini, as in many parts of Africa, required a multi-dimensional approach.

Over those past 20 years, IsraAID has responded to a range of crises, including earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, and refugees in more than 50 countries.

Israel secretly evacuated Afghan refugees through Albania, including judges, journalists, law enforcement officers, scientists and more.

As the Global CEO of IsraAID, Polizer believes in the power of helping communities get back on their feet, while also showing a side of Israel that few people see. 

We cannot always prevent the next flood, cyclone, war, pandemic, or other emergencies. What we can do is mitigate their effects – afterward if necessary, and beforehand where possible.

Over 1,200 people have died from this earthquake, which comes as the country struggles with internal turmoil following the assassination of its president, Jovenel Moïse.

IsraAID had sent assistance to Haiti during its 2010  earthquake disaster and was the first team on the ground. The current response team includes Haitian former staff members.

The Israeli government approved an assistance package of nearly NIS 750 million to aid the country's ailing aviation industry following the coronavirus crisis.
