According to the UN, Gaza residents now receive only about four to six hours a day of electricity.
The Energy Authority in Gaza said the expected resumption of the power plant’s operation comes after Egypt facilitated the delivery of new fuel shipments to the Strip on Thursday.
The Israel Electric Company, which typically transfers about 120 megawatts of electricity daily to Gaza, confirmed that it would continue reducing the supply gradually over the next few days.
It noted that the electricity from a Jenin plant would supplement the current supply.
