UEA's 54th anniversary celebration since the union's creation was focused on the nation's role in improving the humanitarian situation in Gaza and on demands for the ceasefire plan.

Al-Ain reported Egypt is training a potential Gaza police force to focus on sensitive issues, most notably border and crossing management, which will be key to the next phase of the ceasefire.

The plane with the trucks and military equipment later returned to the UAE after a short stopover in Georgia, the report added.

US envoy Massad Boulos explained that, while there were no objections to the plan's content, the Sudanese army had returned with "impossible preconditions."

"It's an exciting step for expanding and diversifying our fleet," flydubai Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum told a news conference.

Long an advocate of a two-state solution, Indonesia has often condemned Israel's violence in Gaza and sent humanitarian aid. Indonesia has no diplomatic relations with Israel.
