Marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of the late Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal, Yad Vashem and the Los Angeles-based Simon Wisenthal Center have published a new educational resource on fighting anti-Semitism, Israel's Holocaust Memorial announced Wednesday.

The English-language guide, which is based on the award-winning book Anti-Semitism: The Generic Hatred, and is accessible via Yad Vashem's Web site, includes articles by Irwin Cotler of Canada, who wrote on "The New Anti-Semitism: An Assault on Human Rights," Prof. Gert Weisskirchen of Germany, who wrote about "When it is Not Enough to Know: The European Experience", and Gunther Jekeli of Germany who described "The Kreuzberg Initiative against Anti-Semitism in Berlin".

Other articles include a brief biography of Simon Wiesenthal, a short historical overview of Anti-Semitism, information on Anti-Semitism on the internet from the Simon Wiesenthal Center and a new lesson plan for high-school students on Anti-Semitism developed by Yad Vashem.

Wiesenthal was born on December 31, 1908, and passed away at the age of 96 on September 20, 2005, in Vienna.
