About 50 Central American migrants kidnapped in Mexico

About 50 Central American migrants were kidnapped by armed men kidnapped in southern Mexico after they held up a cargo train they were riding on, Reuters reported Tuesday citing El Salvador's foreign ministry.
A local priest said witnesses reported that women and children were among those captured on the night of December 16, and have not been seen since, reported Reuters.
"Witnesses said that the subjects climbed up on the wagons, struck the migrants with machetes and took their belongings," El Salvador's foreign ministry said in a statement quoted by Reuters. "Afterwards they took away all the women traveling on the train."
