Civilian contractors who work in clerical positions for the police will strike for four days starting Wednesday, the Histadrut labor federation said.

Internal logistical response divisions including vehicle and storage will cease to operate during the strike, as will recording of indictments for criminal and transportation offences.

The Histadrut said the action was being taken after three years of unsuccessful negotiations with the Finance, Defense and Interior Ministries and Israel Police to have civilian contractors recognized as police personnel.
