Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon discussed Wednesday Israel's possible peace-plan, and stressed that any external pressure on negotiations will "only cause peace to fail."

"Peace is our purifier and if the way to achieving the goal is creating a Palestinian state that it should be done," Ayalon said."It should be done not with an artificial schedule and a forced agreement but based on trust," he added.

He nevertheless noted, "Pressure won't help but will only cause peace to fail, we want peace but not at the expense of Israel's national interests."
