In light of efforts to normalize relations with Turkey, Israel has permitted Turkey to transport materials to the Gaza Strip for the purpose of constructing a Turkish-funded hospital, a senior Turkish diplomat told Turkish daily Hurriyet Tuesday.

In addition to the 60 containers of construction cargo that Israel has already permitted, 60 additional containers were reportedly en route to the coastal territory. According to the report, Israel provided visas to officials traveling to assist with hospital construction.
