'Israeli explanation about Mabhouh affair unsatisfactory'

Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd expressed dissatisfaction on Saturday concerning the possible use of forged Australian passports by the hit squad which assassinated Hamas terror chief Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai last month.
Speaking to reporters in Adelaide, Rudd said his government “has an absolutely hard line on defending the integrity of our passport system.” Alluding to reports that the Mossad had carried out the hit, Rudd said that Israel has so far failed to provide an adequate explanation.
Israel’s ambassador to Australia was summoned in conjunction with what Rudd termed “complex security and intelligence matters.”
