The Knesset Education and Culture Committee plans to meet on Tuesday to discuss what song will be chosen to represent Israel in the Eurovision music contest, which is to take place in March.

"This is a great opportunity to represent the artistic and cultural side of Israel to milions of people across the continent," MK Alex Miller (Israel Beiteinu), who leads the committee, explained. "The preparations need to be professional and give enough time for the artist to publicize himself in various countries in an effort to increase the chances that the competition will be brought to Jerusalem."
