MDA will inaugurate a permanent station in Umm El-Fahm on Thursday afternoon, according to a statement released Wednesday.

“We would be happy to expand our operations in the area so that the local population can participate in various MDA activities, such as first-aid training courses and blood donation drives,” MDA director-general Eli Bin said in the statement.

MDA currently operates a temporary station in the city, which has over 45,000 inhabitants.

Deputy Health Minister Ya’acov Litzman and Umm El-Fahm Mayor Sheikh Khaled Hamdan are slated attend the inauguration ceremony.
