Naveh replaces Gantz as IDF's deputy chief of staff

Maj.-Gen. Yair Naveh replaced Maj.-Gen. Benny Gantz as IDF deputy chief of general staff in a ceremony at Tel Aviv's Kiryah military base on Thursday.

Naveh, former head of the Central Command, returned to service after leaving the IDF in 2007.

The ceremony was led by Defense Minister Ehud Barak.
