PMO: UNESCO motivated by political objectives

UNESCO's decision to list the Church of Nativity as an endangered World Heritage site is proof that it is motivated by political objectives and not by cultural ones, the Prime Minister's Office stated Friday.
"Instead of the Palestinians taking steps to further peace, they are acting in a unilateral way that only distances peace," the statement continued. "The world must remember that the church of the Nativity which is holy to Christianity was desecrated by Palestinian terrorists."
